The Lagos State Government is set to host Badagry Heritage Festival this weekend 6th to 8th December 2019.
The Festival will involve all the Local Government Areas and the Local Council Development Areas in Badagry Division of the State.
Badagry Division includes Badagry LG, Amuwo Odofin LG, Ojo LG, Ajeromi LG, Olorunda LCDA, Badagry West LCDA, Otto Awori LCDA, Iba LCDA, Oriade LCDA, and Ifelodun LCDA.

Speaking to this event, The Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Tourism, Art & Culture, Mr Bonu Solomon Saanu noted that the festival is aimed at promoting tourism potential in Badagry division for a greater Lagos.
Mr Bonu said that this year’s theme is ‘Harnessing Badagry Tourism Potential For A Greater Lagos’.
He expressed that the event is expected to start on Friday 6th December with a Symposium proposed to hold at the Main Auditorium, Lagos State University with an Arts Exhibition; Saturday 7th will witness Water Regatta at the Badagry Marina, while Sunday 8th will be for Family Picnic at the same venue.
Speaking also, The Executive Chairman, Badagry Local Government, Hon. Segun Onilude, who is the Chief Host of the festival, said that the Badagry Heritage Festival unlike any other will be the first time Badagry division will be coming out in this form to project the peculiarities of communities of each Local Government/ Local Council Development Areas as one.
He added that this connotes the unity of purpose the division has been clamouring for.
