Rapid Response Squad (RRS) Operatives have arrested three fraudsters while keeping an obstinate victim hostage in Idumota, Lagos.
The victim, a 23-year-old lady (name withheld), was on her way to Iyana Oworo from Gerard Road Ikoyi when she boarded the suspects’ Volkswagen Vento salon car with registration number BDG 513 EJ but was dragged to Idumota.
While on the diversion, the three suspects, Austin Okoro’m’, 47, ring leader, Godwin Asezour’m’, 54, and Susan Elohor ‘f’, 42, attempted to scam their victim by ostensibly introducing her to their alleged money-doubling company.
The victim, on the other hand, spotted an RRS patrol team at Idumota and successfully raised the alarm to their hearing, resulting in the arrest of the offenders.
The suspects have since been charged to court following completion of investigation by the CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi-led RRS.
