Lagos: Police foil kidnapping, rescue Pakistan national

Lagos State Police have rescued a 48-year-old Pakistani national, Iftkhar, who was abducted by seven of his countrymen.

The kidnappers, who lured Iftkhar to Lagos with a fake job offer as a chef, demanded a ransom of ₦50 million from his boss in Kano.

Two suspects, Roman Gull, 19, and Aftab Ahmed, 28, have been arrested, while five others are still at large. The police also recovered a Toyota Camry car with registration number EDO SGD AE from the suspects.

According to the Lagos Police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, the victim was rescued unhurt, and efforts are being intensified to arrest the remaining members of the gang.
