Lagos PDP salutes Oluwo, assures that he’ll not regret action

LAGOS State chapter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Wednesday saluted the State Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Mr Olawale Oluwo, for resigning his appointment and dumping the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for the leading opposition PDP, saying he had written his name in gold with such decision which he would never regret.
Spokesperson of the party, Mr Taofik Gani, said in a statement in reaction to Oluwo’s decision to join the PDP governorship candidate, Mr Jimi Agbaje, who he described as his friend to campaign and win Lagos, come 2019.
“We salute him,  he (Oluwo) has written his name in gold. He has taken a political step never to be regretted.
“We encourage him all remaining true democrats to join the PDP now. Lagos has been in bondage of a unipolar rule and control. Indeed with all that can be conceded to Ambode as due performances, he is denied a 2nd Term on the selfish, flimsy, vindictive excuse that he refused to fund the APC chieftains.
“Our emphasis here is that APC is desperately holding onto Lagos State to enrich the chieftains directly or by bogus contracts awarded.
“We call on the electorate to join this revolution to free Lagos. We stand on our honour and before God to pledge that Lagos IGR shall be wholesomely spent for Lagos State,” the party said.
