As part of its Pioneer Scholarship Scheme and to ensure the sustainability of a convivial relationship with the host communities, Lekki Freeport Terminal ( LFT), under the leadership of Mr Christophe Cassang CEO of LFT, has implemented the disbursement of N2 million as a scholarship stipend to 20 students at Ibeju Lekki, the host community who are in various public universities across Nigeria.
According to Fubara Awanta GM Govt Relations & Security, he guided the beneficiaries of the University scholarship scheme, that this was the first / pioneer tertiary scholarship scheme by Lekki Freeport Terminal that became commercially operational in April 2022.
He also reiterated LFT’s quest in proactively managing her CSR campaign through continued employment placement, implementation of this scholarship scheme, women empowerment, and SIWES placement to individuals from the host communities of Ibeju Lekki.
Lekki Freeport Terminal is a business entity in the CMA- CGM Group. LFT is currently the only container terminal operator with a 45-year sub-concession agreement from Lekki Port, situated in Lagos Free Zone.
