Lagos landlord, tenant allegedly turn 13-yr-old to sex slave

A 51-year-old landlord, Ishola Idris who allegedly connived with his tenant and turned a 13-year-old girl into a sex slave, was on Tuesday arraigned before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court in Lagos.

The accused persons were charged with raping and sodomising the 13-year-old girl.

The landlord was arraigned along with his tenant, Linus Okonkwo, before the Chief Magistrate, Bolanle Olufunke Osunsanmi.

The landlord allegedly deflowered the girl, sodomised her and converted her into a sex tool, threatening to kill the girl if she dared to inform anybody.

It was gathered that the girl confessed under pressure when blood was spotted in her anus by her mother.

The landlord was said to have committed the offence sometimes in January at his residence at 30, Celestial Road, Igando, Lagos State.

The two-count charge brought against the defendants read in part: “That you, Ishola Idris, sometime in January 2017 at 30, Celestial Road, Igando Lagos in Lagos Magisterial District, did unlawfully defile one 13-year-old girl (name withheld) by having sexual intercourse with her.

”That you, Linus Okonkwo, sometime in March 2017 at 30 Celestial Road, Igando, Lagos, in Lagos Magisterial District, did unlawfully sexually assault one 13-year-old by penetrating her vagina with your penis.”

The alleged crime, according to the police, is punishable under Section 261 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

They pleaded not guilty to the allegation. They were granted bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum while the matter was adjourned till October 12.
