Lagos govt approves N250m seed capital to improve technology

The Lagos State government has recently approved N250 million seed capital to enhance young people’s innovative skills and empower them to be tech solution providers.

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu said this when he received the management team of Oracle Africa Group on Monday at Lagos House, Alausa, Ikeja.

Sanwo-Olu further revealed that Lagos State Government’s investment in technology and innovation is deliberate.

The governor said the effort is deliberate to position the state as a key player in global technology space.

Sanwo-Olu said his administration’s financial commitment to ICT is to make Lagos Africa’s foremost centre of innovation.

This the state would achieve by harnessing local capabilities in developing tech solutions according to him

The governor said the relationship between the state and Oracle Africa Group must be consolidated.

Sanwo-Olu emphasised this is to boost capacity of the state government.

He also said the relationship is to keep it abreast of the latest technological solutions developed to ease processes.
