The Executive Chairman, Itire-Ikate LCDA, Hon. Ahmed Olanrewaju Apatira, has again empowered residents and artisans across the Council Area.
The programme tagged “2024 Micro-enterprises Support Initiatives” held at the Agricultural Training Centre, Odo-Olowu, on Friday, according to the council chairman, is aimed at promoting self-reliance and empowering artisans in their craftsmanship.
The tools distributed include sewing machines, pepper grinding machines, gas cookers and cylinders, popcorn grilling machines, and other tools.
Apatira urged residents to continue to support his administration and the All Progressives Congress (APC) for more impactful projects while also expressing his commitment to the welfare of residents in the district.
He stated further, “We thank God for the opportunity to execute this programme. Many residents and artisans benefitted, but our residents deserve more. I am committed to improving lives and promoting self-reliance in the constituency, and by God’s grace, I will continue to do my best.
It is our desire to provide equal platforms and opportunities to all residents in the council area, regardless of political party affiliations. Our administration is committed to fairness and equal opportunities for all, as exhibited by this empowerment programme.”
Meanwhile, beneficiaries have expressed their gratitude to the council chairman for his consistent efforts at empowering artisans and improving the quality of lives of their constituents.
Notable dignitaries in attendance include Alhaji Ayinde Kushimo, Eng. Fatai Adelani, Hon. Andrew Olaoluwa Agbeyangi, Comr. Ibrahim Lawal, and representatives from various political parties and organisations.
