A traffic barrier at Carter Bridge, on the inward journey to Ijora Olopa in Lagos State has been knocked down for the second time within 24 hours, causing disruptions in the area.
In response to the incident, traffic has been diverted to the Iddo/Oyingbo route to ease congestion and ensure smooth flow.
Officers from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) have also been deployed to manage the situation.
LASTMA confirmed the incident in a post on X on Wednesday, stating, “A barrier at Carter Bridge, inward journey Ijora Olopa has been knocked down for the second time within 24 hours.
“To minimize disruptions, traffic has been diverted to the Iddo/Oyingbo route. Traffic Officers are strategically positioned to manage the diverted traffic and ensure a smooth flow”
