Laffmatazz 7: 25 acts, one stage, one show

The stage is getting ready. The people are waiting. The venue is Jogor Centre, Ibadan. The event is Laffmatazz season 7 and it is coming with more than 25 acts, who have expressed their readiness and determination to besiege Ibadan on Easter Sunday.

WIth about one month to the next edition of Gbenga Adeyinka’s Laffmatazz, the comedy and music show that has continued to provide entertainment through different media, many residents of the city and its environs appear to be getting frenzy and sharing expectations through different social media platforms ahead of the show.

The show, which will kick off in Ibadan before heading to Abeokuta, Akure and finally Ilorin will parade many acts, comprising comedians, musicians and thespians who are currently making waves in the entertainment industry.

Over the years, the show, apart from entertaining the people, has become a platform for many up and-coming acts, who hitherto had yearned for a stage to express their crafts. This year, same gesture would be extended to the new breeds as they will be given the opportunity to mingle with the established comedians on the same stage.

From Laff Up to Senator MC Tagwaye, Ambassador Wahala to one of Ibadan’s finest comedians, Peteru, Kenny Black, among others, this year’s event will no doubt come with a touch of class.

Limpopo crooner, Kcee, his partner, Harrysong, Marvin Records star, Dr SID, Nigeria Jagajaga star, Edris Abdulkareem, Sound Sultan, Capital FEMI, DJ Jimmy Jatt, and Dj Sexcy will be on the wheel of steel.

According to Gbenga Adeyinka,”Every year, we try to come up with something special for a special kind of people in Ibadan who love entertainment at its best. What we are bringing this year will be bigger than anything anyone has seen before,”he said.
