Lady Gaga recreates Harley Quinn scene in Louvre, leaves lipstick mark on ‘Mona Lisa’

Lady Gaga, recreates her Harley Quinn character from the Joker film, left a lipstick mark on the protective glass of the Mona Lisa in a new video promoting the Louvre’s upcoming exhibition,

“Figures of the Fool.”The video, released by the singer and the French museum, shows Gaga wandering through the museum at night, singing a song composed for the occasion.

The video, produced in collaboration with Warner Bros Pictures, echoes a pivotal scene from Joker: Folie à Deux, and features Gaga standing nose-to-nose with the iconic painting before drawing a clownish smile on the glass.

The Louvre clarified that the event was entirely staged, with an extra protective screen set up over the existing bulletproof glass. The museum also emphasized that the act was an artistic homage to da Vinci’s fascination with the smile, reassuring the public that the painting was never at risk.

This comes amid growing concerns about museum artworks being targeted by climate activists, but the Louvre stated that the video was purely fictional and posed no threat to the masterpiece.
