In recognition of his dedication and commitment to public administration, Muhammad Baba Okanla, the Chairman of the Kwara State Independent Electoral Commission (KWSIEC), has been honoured with a prestigious award of the Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Local Government and Public Administration of Nigeria (CILGPAN).
The award was given during the 22nd Investiture of Associates, Members, and Fellows Awards ceremony at the Distance Learning Institute, University of Lagos (UNILAG), chaired by Prof. Muhammed Usman, Director of UNILAG Consult & Distance Learning Institute (DLI).
Saying that the awardee was deserving of the honour, the institute’s director emphasised that the KWSIEC chairman has proven to be a standout for his professionalism and unwavering commitment to public administration.
Furthermore, he noted that Baba Okanla was recognised for his active membership in CILGPAN, consistent participation in seminars and workshops, timely payment of annual dues, and overall dedication to the institute’s mission.
Expressing his gratitude, Baba Okanla said, “I am truly honoured and humbled to receive this award. I want to believe that it is a testament to my dedication to serving humanity.”
