Senator representing Kwara South senatorial district, Senator Oyelola Ashiru has said that arrangements had been concluded to roll out health interventions aimed at reinforcing welfare and well-being of the community.
In a statement by the senator’s legislative aide in the Isapa ward of the Ekiti local government area of the state, Busayo David, said that the health interventions, scheduled to start this week, include provision of medical equipment and drugs, distribution of wheelchairs, medical outreach programmes and geriatric training.
David said that such initiatives were poised to complement efforts of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq in the health sector, promising to significantly enhance the well-being of the community.
“Looking forward, Senator Ashiru has emphasized that the ongoing health interventions are just the beginning of a comprehensive agenda aimed at ushering in a brighter future for Kwara South, with a focus on sustainable development and improved quality of life for the constituents. He envisions a promising trajectory for the entire region,” he said.
The aide, who said that the Kwara South Senator has gradually emerged a key figure in driving the modernization of Kwara South, said that, “Senator Lola Ashiru’s impact in the Kwara South Senatorial District over the past five years has been remarkable.
He said, “Notably, Kwara South comprises the largest local government areas in the state, encompassing seven local governments. Since commencing his second term in office, Senator Ashiru has spearheaded substantial developmental projects across all sectors in Kwara South.
“His contributions have spanned such areas such as human development, road construction, education, agriculture, ICT, electrification, and the health sector. The Senator has been instrumental in facilitating numerous projects that have improved lives of the constituents in the senatorial district. As a result, it is widely acknowledged that the decision to vote for Senator Ashiru has truly paid off, as evidenced by the positive impact he has made”.
