Alege made the confirmation in llorin while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on the fate of six residents of llorin who were afflicted with cholera a week ago.
He said that the state government had combed all parts of the state with the aim of eliminating cholera outbreak, which he noted had yielded positive result.
Alege said that the outbreak of cholera had not claimed any life in any part of the state, adding that all the six victims of the disease had been discharged from hospital.
The commissioner said that the four hospitals designated by the state government for the treatment of the cholera outbreak had not recorded any casualty.
He said that the state ministry of health had further intensified its sensitisation programme on maintenance of clean environment and proper washing of fruits before consumption by the people.
Alege advised residents to complement government’s effort of wiping out diseases by ensuring a clean environment at all times.
It will be recalled that cholera outbreak suddenly happened in Kwara last week when six persons, including two children were hospitalised in llorin, the state capital.
