Kwara gov’s media aide becomes registered ARCON advertising practitioner

The senior special assistant on New Media to Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara state, Mr Olayinka Fafoluyi, has been awarded the title of associate member of the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON).

In a statement issued on Thursday in Ilorin, Fafoluyi said that the certification officially recognises him as a registered practitioner in advertising and solidifies his career in digital marketing and public relations.

“Before his latest award, Fafoluyi had established a career as a digital marketing and public relations expert.

“Fafoluyi’s experience spans various sectors, including media and agricultural companies, where he demonstrated an exceptional ability to craft compelling narratives and engage diverse audiences.

The statement also said that the governor’s aide’s background has been instrumental to his contributions to the Kwara state administration’s communication strategies.

Fafoluyi is an alumnus of the University of Ilorin, where he earned his bachelor’s degree. He furthered his education at the Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ), obtaining a Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Journalism. Additionally, he has enhanced his expertise with a Certificate in Fundamental Skills in Digital Marketing from Google, underscoring his commitment to staying at the forefront of industry trends and technologies.

The governor’s media aide said that receiving the associate member certification from ARCON is an important milestone in his career.

“This recognition is evidence of his dedication, expertise, and contributions to the field of advertising and digital communications.

Speaking with newsmen on his latest exploit, Fafoluyi said, “Being recognised by ARCON as an associate member is an incredible honour. This certification is a testament to my commitment to excellence in the field of advertising and digital marketing. I am grateful for this recognition and look forward to continuing to serve and innovate in my role.”.

He expressed delight that he has been pivotal in driving Governor Abdulrazaq’s digital communication initiatives by ensuring that the administration’s messages are effectively conveyed to the public through various digital platforms.

“Fafoluyi’s expertise has been crucial in navigating the complex landscape of modern media, leveraging digital tools to enhance government transparency and citizen engagement.”
