The Kwara Fire Service on Tuesday confirmed the removal of a dead body of a middle-aged man from a well in Ilorin, the Kwara capital.
The Director of the state Fire Service, Alhaji Abfulwaheed Yakub, disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) while reacting to the incident which occurred in the early hours of Tuesday.
Yakub told NAN that the incident occurred in Olulufadi area, off Niger road, Ilorin, and he gave the name of the victim as Mumeen Mejindadi of Galadima compound from the area.
He said that the victim was found dead inside the well with his legs and arms tied.
Yakub said the service was yet to identify the perpetrators of the dastardly act.

He appealed to the public to assist the service with useful information that would assist it to apprehend the perpetrators.
The director said that the agency would always respond quickly to any emergency situation in any part of the state.
Yakub said that the body of the victim had been handed over to the head of the family while the incident was reported to the police for investigation.
Efforts by NAN to speak with the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the state Police Command, Mr Samuel Okasanmi, was unsuccessful.
