Kwara state government has charged community leaders and school-based management committees that benefit from ongoing infrastructural development in the state to always protect, supervise and monitor projects in their localities for quality jobs.
Speaking during handing over of site to respective contractors, the state Commissioner for Education, Hajia Fatimah Bisola Ahmed, called on the stakeholders to monitor the contractors to deliver quality and standard project in line with the specification
“Governor Abdulrahman is a man of his words. During his campaign, he promised to revamp the education sector with the provision of infrastructures and enabling environment for teaching and learning. The promise has been fulfilled and it is left for you to monitor the contractor for him to deliver quality and standard project in line with the specification”, he said.
The commissioner, however, warned the contractors that the present administration will not compromise the standard and any contractors found wanting will be prosecuted.

In his remarks, the Chairman House Committee on Education and Human Capital Development, Mallam Muhammad Baba Saliu Boriya, commended the present administration in the state for bringing dividends of democracy to the doorstep of Kwarans.
Mallam Boriya also revealed that it is the decision of the House of Assembly to include Education stakeholders and community leaders in the supervision of government projects for quality delivery.
He, therefore, called on them not to compromise the standard in their respective locality.
Some of the schools visited, where comprehensive renovation is ongoing were: Oro Grammar School, Offa Grammar School, GSS Lafiagi and GSS Share, Government Unity Secondary School, Kaima, Patigi Secondary School, Patigi, Ilorin Comprehensive High School, Ilorin and Government High School, Adeta respectively.
