Kudos to INEC on Osun West by-election

Published by

The Professor Mahmud Yakubu-led Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) deserves eulogies following the  peaceful, free and fair Osun West senatorial poll which produced Dr. Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to replace his late elder brother, Senator Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke, who passed on some months ago.

With  97,480 votes in favour of the PDP standard-bearer, as against the APC candidate, Senator Mudasiru Hussain’s 66,116 votes, the people made a clear choice.

This landslide victory is a lesson to state governors that toy with the welfare of workers and retirees.
