KSU’s Ibrahim Nasiru appointed supervisor for Gates foundation-funded research

Dr. Ibrahim Muhammad Nasiru, Head of the Department of Political Science at Kogi State University, Kabba, has been appointed by the Aminu Kano Centre for Democratic Studies, Bayero University, Kano, as Supervisor of a research project funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

The research aims to understand the influences and behaviours that affect economic and financial decision-making in Northern Nigeria.

Dr. Ibrahim serves on the editorial board of the Kogi Journal of Politics and is Kogi State Coordinator of the Society for Peace Studies and Practice (SPSP).

He is also a member of the Nigeria Political Science Association, NPSA, and currently serves on the governing council of Kogi State University.

Other researchers on the team include a lecturer at the Department of Mathematics at the Kogi State University, Kabba Dr. Onsachi Rahimat Oziohu, who will serve as facilitator for the focus group discussion.

Meanwhile, a lecturer at the Department of Physics at Kogi State University, Kabba, Margaret Adebimpe Umeche, alongside Ajayi Oluwaseun Clement and Emmanuel Joshua Anaureyi of the Department of Political Science, will all serve as research assistants.
