Kolga youths commend Buhari over community development projects

Youths from Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area of Bayelsa State have commended the Federal Government for executing life changing projects across their communities.

The president of Kolga Youths United Front, Oyinmiebi Oweifa, made the commendation shortly after a meeting of the youth body in Odi community on Thursday.

He said that the President Muhammad Buhari led administration had salvaged the situation of Kolga people by changing the narrative through critical development  projects in the last four years.

He said the construction of  Professor Izonfuo Health Centre in Odi, Sampou/Kalama road and the  JAMB centre in Sabagria community was a fulfilment of the promise of Federal Government to tackle the Niger Delta challenges.

The youth president also commended the inclusion of five shoreline projects comprising that of Kalama, Famgbe and Ogbogoro communities in the 2018 federal budget, saying the projects would help protect the communities that were badly affected by coastal erosion.

He said that through the help of Preye Aganaba, an  All Progressives Congress (APC) Stalwart, the Federal Government is building a Federal Health Centre at Gbarain, 2 kilometres of  road linking Ogu and Akaba communities.

“The Buhari-led administration,  through Preye Aganaba,has also donated electricity transformers to communities across Kolokuma/Opokuma area. And this,in no distant time, will improve socio-economic activities in Kolokuma/Opokuma.”

He said that  youths of the area were ready to support the policies and programme of the Buhari-led administration in a bid to attract more people oriented projects to Kolokuma/Opokuma.
