Kogi LG polls: KSIEC commences distribution of sensitive materials

Ahead of tomorrow’s local government council elections, the Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission (KOSIEC) has commenced the distribution of sensitive materials to all 21 local government areas in the state.

The State Chairman of the Commission, Mamman Nda Eri, disclosed this during the distribution of the sensitive materials on Friday.

He noted that the commission is fully prepared to conduct free, fair, and credible elections.

He pointed out that all the local government electoral officers are already on the ground to move the materials to various local government areas and wards after collection from the SIEC office.

According to him, there will be a restriction of movement on Saturday, as accreditation and voting will commence at 9 a.m. and end at 3 p.m.

He also assured that security personnel will be present at various polling stations to ensure that everything goes smoothly.
