Kogi HoS preaches hard work, integrity, community service

The Kogi State Head of Service (HoS), Dr Elijah Adeiza Evinemi, has urged the people of his community and Kogi citizens in general to continue to uphold the principles of hard work, integrity, and community service that have defined the people from inception.

The HoS, who gave the admonition as chairman of the occasion at the 16th coronation anniversary of the Ohi of Ihima and the conferment of titles on deserving citizens of Ihima and Ebira land, urged them to reflect on the values that have brought the people to where they are today.

Speaking further, he said, “I am honoured to serve as the chairman of this joyous occasion, marking the 16th coronation anniversary of our revered monarch, the Ohi of Ihima. Today, we gather to celebrate a legacy of leadership, wisdom, and dedication to the development of Ihima and Ebira land.

“As we commemorate this milestone, we also recognise the deserving citizens who have made significant contributions to the growth and prosperity of our communities. The conferment of titles on these individuals is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and selflessness.

He noted that the Ohi of Ihima, HRH Alhaji Abdulraheem Ahmed Ogido, has been a shining example of a true leader, working tirelessly to promote peace, unity, and progress in Ihima and beyond.

“Your Majesty’s commitment to the welfare of your people and the development of our state is truly inspiring.

“As we celebrate this anniversary, I urge us all to reflect on the values that have brought us to where we are today. Let us continue to uphold the principles of hard work, integrity, and community service that have defined our people.

“To the Ohi of Ihima, I offer my warmest congratulations on your 16th coronation anniversary. May your reign continue to be marked by peace, prosperity, and progress.

“To the title recipients, I congratulate you on this well-deserved recognition. May this honour inspire you to continue serving our communities with dedication and distinction.”
