Kogi govt spends N2.6bn to execute over 170 community projects

Published by

The Kogi State Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA) has announced the completion of over 170 projects across communities in the state’s three senatorial districts within four months, at a cost of ₦2.6 billion.

The General Manager of the agency, Chief Dauda Momoh, disclosed this on Friday during an interview in his office, part of activities marking his birthday. He attributed the agency’s achievements to the support of the Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, particularly through the prompt release of funds and logistical backing.

He noted that the agency successfully overcame various challenges, including difficult terrains, to complete the projects. These initiatives, he said, are expected to have a significant positive impact on the lives of community members.

The Operations Manager, Engr. Bayode Oladipo, also commended the visionary leadership of the General Manager, emphasizing that the agency’s accomplishments would not have been possible without his guidance. He urged staff members to continue supporting the leadership to ensure the achievement of set goals.

He stated:
“Chief Dauda, your visionary approach and commitment to community empowerment have not only inspired us but have also significantly impacted the lives of many within our communities.

Under your guidance, we have witnessed remarkable progress in enhancing infrastructure, improving access to education and healthcare, and promoting economic opportunities for all.

Your efforts in championing social welfare initiatives are truly commendable and serve as a beacon of hope for future generations.

As you celebrate this special day, we wish you abundant joy, good health, and continued success in all your endeavors. May this new year bring even greater achievements as you continue to lead with passion and compassion.”

The highlight of the event was a prayer session for the upliftment of the agency and divine guidance for its General Manager.
