Governor Yahaya Bello
Amidst speculation of a major cabinet reshuffle in Kogi State, the Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Tim Diche, has resigned his appointment.
The ex-commissioner was said to have left the cabinet of Governor Yahaya Bello, on Tuesday after seven months in office.
Diche tendered his letter of resignation addressed to Governor Bello citing personal reasons for his resignation.
The former commissioner in the letter dated December 6, 2016 thanked the governor for giving him the opportunity to serve the state.
Already, the state government has accepted his resignation from the services of the state.
The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mrs Folasade Ayoade, in an acceptance letter sent to Diche, lauded him for his contributions while serving as commissioner.
The letter read, “We wish you the best in your future endeavours, while His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, his cabinet members and good people of Kogi State appreciate your valuable contributions to the development of the state.”
It would be recalled that the state government had recently given hint of a cabinet shake up following the conduct of a test for the political appointees in the state.
The test was said to be a prelude to the imminent sack as it was gathered that any of the people that did not meet the yardstick set by the consultant that handled the test may be relieved of their posts.
