More knocks for PSquare over break-up

Published by

Fans of Nigeria’s singing duo, PSquare are not taking their seeming break-up in good faith, as some of them have started hurling blames on the Okoye brothers, asking them to man up and put their family in order.

News of their second break-up in two years caught many unawares with some people claiming that it was another publicity stunt aimed at promoting their December concert that has been on the card for weeks.

While Peter and Paul appear ready to pursue a solo career, their fans have queried their decision to split at a time, when they are expected to be supporting one another.

Information pieced together by R revealed that they both have more to lose if they finally decide to split as most of their endorsement deals were jointly signed and may not be renewed for an individual but as a group.

It was also gathered that there were moves by highly placed people to find a lasting solution to the ranging controversy but all efforts to broker truce had been frustrated by both parties.

A large section of their fans, while reacting on social media platforms, asked them to stop dragging their personal problems to the social media and strop bringing shame to their family.

A fan, who goes by the name Cynthia said PSquare should stop disturbing us with their problems every time. They are grown up men, who should know how to put their house in order. “Seeing them trying to pull down what they have built over the years amounts to being childish and petty.”

Popular comedian, Koffi asked Peter and Paul to put their emotions in check and stop being noisy over every discomforting situation they found themselves. “I don’t want to talk about the issue of PSquare because it does not make sense to me any more. What is wrong with them? Why are they behaving like small boys? I think somebody has to tell them the bitter truth because this is not funny any more,” he said.

Also speaking on the feud, popular musician, Sound Sultan said PSquare should be allowed to deal with their problems personally and internally, adding that “ I think people should allow them deal with their issues the best way they can. I have read a lot of stories online about the fight but it is not in my place to apportion blame. Let’s just leave them to deal with their problems while we hope that they come out of it stronger as brothers.”
