Kiwii out with new track, ‘Omo dada’

A fast-rising rap artiste, Rollings Cecil Chukwunedu a.k.a Kiwii has released his debut song titled ‘Omo Dada’.

While explaining the reason for the title of the song, the artiste said the name was borne out of the usual saying which occurs when a girl or a boy does something good

“Well, the saying ‘Omo dada’ (Good girl /good boy) was always getting to my ears from the streets and all.

“One example is like when you do something nice for people and especially when they don’t expect it, then they call you ‘Omo dada’, the artiste explained.

Kiwii, who gave the impression that his song would be able to compete favourably in the market, said that the distinguishing factor in his song is that very catchy and simple to the ear to like in one listen.

He added that the way the hook of the song was organised with verses was a totally different style and hence believes in it’s uniqueness.

Commenting on the state of the music industry, Kiwii, who on the fence, said he is indecisive because not enough chances are created for the upcoming acts and to be specific rappers.

“At the  same time I like what is happening now cause the music is crossing over to the overseas, thereby giving it more exposure now, which is why outsiders are now looking at Nigeria for it.

“But we are here to change a lot of things and get the recognition we deserve. When I say we I mean my label,  TMR – Toya Musical records and I are here to stay for a long time” he added.
