Kidnappers of ECWA pastor, daughter, 14 others reduce ransom to N15m ‘non-negotiable’

Kidnappers of Rev. Zachariya Ido, a Senior Pastor of Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) and 14 other choristers in Kaduna State have pegged the ransom to  N15m.
Rev Bala  Ido, younger brother to the kidnapped clergy told the Tribune Online that the abductors who had earlier demanded N30m ransom as a precondition for the release of their victims, reduced the money to N15m non-negotiable.
He said: “we spoke to the kidnappers today (Wednesday) morning and we pleaded with them to reduce the money to N1m, but they refused and warned us never to call them again.”
“They even insulted us, and insisted that we have to pay the N15m if we really want to see our loved ones alive, they even switched off the handset,” he said.
Till the time of filling this report nothing was heard from the side of the kidnappers, as family members of the kidnapped victims are still hopeless.
It will be recalled that the  kidnappers had on Saturday evening invaded the Church situated in  Dankande Village, in Birnin Gwari local government area of Kaduna State, and made away with the Pastor, his daughter and 13 other female choristers.
