Kidnapped mother of Labour Party national chairman regains freedom

71 year old mother of the national chairman of the Labour Party, Mrs. Elizabeth Omotosho, has regained freedom from her abductors.
The old woman, who reportedly walked  home on Friday night at about 11 pm, was said to be in good condition of health.
A sister to the national chairman of the Labour Party, Titilayo Omotosho, who had lived together with the woman before her abduction, confirmed the release.
However, she did not confirm if any ransom was paid on her mother or not.
The commissioner of police in the state, Lawan Ado, had said on Friday that modern technology had been deployed to track the kidnappers’ hideout, adding that pressure had been mounted on the hoodlums.
It is recalled that Mrs. Elizabeth Omotosho was kidnapped by unknown four gunmen in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital last Sunday night.
It was gathered that Mrs. Elizabeth Omotosho, who is the mother of Dr. Mike Omotosho, a former governorship candidate of the party in the last governorship election in Kwara State, was kidnapped at her Family house, number, 23, Lobalade street, Tanke, Ilorin, about 7:30pm.
According to the gateman, four men armed with dangerous weapons stormed the family house at Tanke Sunday night and abducted Mrs. Elizabeth Omotosho to an unknown destination.
A sister to Dr Mike Omotosho, Titilayo Omotosho, had said that “the gateman who was later released after the abduction, had said that four armed men entered the house and told Mrs. Elizabeth Omotosho  to wear clothes and follow them and that if she makes a sound they will shoot her.
“The gateman said they asked of Titi but i was at one meeting as at that time. I got home…searched and searched and couldn’t find my mom”.
