Oseni, from Okene local government area of the state, declared an interest in Kogi central on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) while Yusuf picked his expression of interest form to contest the Kogi west senatorial on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Speaking with newsmen in Lokoja, the Kogi state capital, Oseni said he was inspired by the urge to serve the people of the senatorial district, particularly the women and the youth.
He said he would initiate programmes that were capable of alleviating the ravaging poverty among the people, who he said had been under the bondage of microfinance banks.
The KGRIS boss said it was unfortunate that successive representatives of the people that they elected had not used the resources that belonged to the masses for their development.
“I am assuring my people that the women in the central senatorial district of Kogi state will be given uttermost respect they deserve by putting them in the right place of self-development through the creation of gender-sensitive jobs to engage them. I will further create opportunities and promote policies that will empower women, increase women participation in politics and into political offices by way of affirmative action” he said.

Also speaking, Yusuf, who is the chairman of the house of representatives committee on the capital market, promised to further improve on his legislative responsibilities with a view to bringing dividend of democracy to the district.
He said the western senatorial district of the state would witness quality representation and development if he is elected to represent the area.
A leader of the PDP from the area, Bayo Yusuf, however, said with the endorsement of stakeholders across the seven local government areas of the senatorial district, it would be wrong to offer an automatic ticket to aspirants that are defecting to the party.
He, therefore, called for a free, fair and transparent party primaries, saying with such arrangement Yusuf would be victorious.
