Keystone Bank has reaffirmed its commitment to the Federal Government’s Youth Economic Intervention and De-Radicalisation Programme (YEIDEP), aimed at tackling poverty and improving the lives of young Nigerians.

This commitment was highlighted during a solidarity dinner organised by the bank in honour of the Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, and the Coordinator-General of YEIDEP, Comrade Kennedy Iyere, for their contributions to the programme. The event took place on Thursday in Lagos State.

Speaking at the event, Olawande commended President Bola Tinubu’s initiative in establishing YEIDEP and expressed appreciation to the management of Keystone Bank, led by Hassan Imam, for its support of the federal government’s youth empowerment efforts. He also lauded Comrade Iyere for his dedication to the welfare of young Nigerians.

The minister emphasised the importance of equipping young people with the necessary resources and opportunities to thrive, reiterating the ministry’s commitment to partnerships that support Nigerian youths and safeguard their future.

“I also commend Keystone Bank’s Executive Director, Corporate Banking and South, Mrs Nnenna Anyim-Okoro, who is an exemplary woman with a heart for Nigerian youths,” he stated.

In his remarks, Iyere stressed the need to engage youths in productive activities to reduce crime and promote economic growth. He acknowledged Keystone Bank’s role in fostering financial inclusion and youth empowerment, describing its support as crucial to shaping the country’s future.

Anyim-Okoro also praised President Tinubu’s leadership in initiating YEIDEP and outlined Keystone Bank’s strategic efforts to strengthen its involvement in the programme.

“To reinforce our commitment to YEIDEP, Keystone Bank has established a high-level committee to drive the programme within the bank,” she said.
