Kebbi: Reps member empowers constituents with 32 motorcycles

In a bid to alleviate economic hardship and empower youths, Hon Ibrahim Bello Muhammed, the federal lawmaker representing Birnin Kebbi, Kalgo, and Bunza Federal Constituency has distributed 32 motorcycles to his constituents.

The distribution event, held on Thursday, was described as timely by Alhaji Ibrahim Ummai, the initiative’s director. He emphasised that the intervention comes at a crucial time, given the worsening economic conditions following the Federal Government’s removal of fuel subsidies.

“Since the subsidy removal, Nigerians have faced immense financial strain. This initiative will go a long way in easing the burden on beneficiaries,” Ummai stated.

He urged recipients including a deaf and mute beneficiary to use the motorcycles productively rather than selling them.

Speaking at the event, Abdulgafar Tukur, the lawmaker’s Senior Special Assistant on Legislative Matters, highlighted the initiative as one of several empowerment programs spearheaded by Hon. Muhammed.

“This is just one of many interventions aimed at supporting the youth in his constituency. More programs are in the pipeline. We appreciate his continuous commitment to youth empowerment and encourage beneficiaries to maximize this opportunity,” he said.

Tukur also praised Muhammed’s dedication to legislative advocacy, describing him as a beacon of hope for young people. Notably, he is the youngest member of the House of Representatives and has championed multiple motions in the National Assembly.

The event saw the presence of key political stakeholders, including PDP Ward Chairman of Nassarawa 1, Alhaji Ibrahim Namazaba, who commended the lawmaker for his proactive efforts in supporting his constituents.
