Katsina Emirate honours deputy gov, two others with traditional titles

The Emir of Katsina, Alh. Abdul-Mumuni Kabir Usman has conferred traditional titles on three illustrious sons for their immense contribution to the rapid development of his domain in the State.

“Those compensated with the titles are the present Deputy Governor Farouk Jobe as Sarkin Fulanin Jobe, Jabir Tsauri Chief of Staff of Governor Radda as the First Lamidon Katsina and Abdullahi Aliyu a House of Rep member as Dujimam Katsina [a traditional title borrowed from Borno}.”

The Emir, while speaking during the Turbaning Ceremony in his Palace in Katsina, charged the recipients to put more effort in their elbows to uplift the living standard of their people.

The emir maintained that as representatives of their various areas, they should rededicate themselves to the services of humanity.

“What we did today is fulfilling the commandments of Allah. We conferred the titles to you only, but it has been destined that you must be at a certain time in your life and this is the time.”

According to him, the ordinary men and women at the grassroots are currently in need of support from well-to-do people due to the economic situation in the country that is harsh.

He called on other wealthy individuals to set up foundations that would strive to rescue the common men and poor people from hunger, disease, and starvation.

The Emir commended the Katsina  State Government for its efforts to salvage the people from the current multiple problems disturbing the common men in the state.
