Kano Gov begs business community to release hoarded food stuff

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has called  the business community to please  shun hoarding of food stuff in warehouses and bring it out and sell it to the public to curtail the high increase  in the price of food stuff, especially at this moment that fasting of Ramadan is quite approaching

Governor Yusuf who disclosed this on Monday during a meeting with the business community and other stakeholders held at government house Kano then promised to report the present headship,the teeming masses were facing to president Bola Ahmed Tinubu  very soon ,when he met him

He also reaffirmed the determination of his Administration to restore the states Commercial Glory which is gradually fading.

According to him, the rate at which inflation is on the high increase on food stuff and other daily needs was very alarming,hence there was the urgent need to put heads together with a view to finding a lasting solution to the menace .

He then added that ” The purpose of this gathering is to fine tuned modalities on how to address the menace of High inflation,because people are really suffering and we need to do something about this “

 Government would do everything possible to provide an enabling environment to the business community,stressing that the business community should also reciprocate through adequate payment of tax,so that government would generate revenue to perform optimally.

“we are begging you the business community to please shun hoarding of food stuff in warehouses , please bring it out and sell it to the public to curtail the high increase of food stuff, especially at this moment that fasting of Ramadan is quite approaching”

Governor Abba Kabir noted that He will personally meet president Bola Ahmad Tinubu to intimate him about the hardship the people of Kano are encountering due to inflation with a view to providing succor to the people.

Earlier, The Commissioner of Commerce Alhaji Abbas Sani Abbas said the meeting was very timely, geared towards providing solutions to the current Hardship people were facing .
