The former skipper of Super Eagle, Ahmed Musa has announced the reduction of price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) at own fueling station, MYCA7 in Kano from N620 to N580 per litre,as a way to cushioned the hardship motorists were passing through
Ahmed Musa is a Nigerian professional footballer who plays as a forward and left winger for Turkish Süper Lig club Sivasspor and the Nigeria national team.
It will be recalled that few days after Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) announced an increase of the petrol pump price to N617 per litre.
However the professional footballer made the announcement on his verified twitter page.
Via Twitter, Musa declares, “Fuel ⛽️ #580 @MYCA -7 Filling Station Kano 🏃♀️🏃♀️,” sparking excitement among Nigerians.
One Twitter user, Scala @lakaas123, excitedly enquired How manage Alhaji? N580 in Kano when not in Lagos? Are you whining us?” to which Musa replies, “That is what me I decide to sell my own 🤷♂️.”
Many motorists commended the gesture of Ahmed Musa over his love extended to the teeming masses of the state
According to Alhaji Ibrahim.Shanono,who spoke after bought the fuel at Musa’ s filing station said, “It’s a welcome development; I can now save some money instead of buying at a higher cost.”
However ,the price of fuel was reduce by the footballer to provide succour to vehicle owners in the state and people were happy for his noble gesture
They were calling other people that have filing stations to emulate the gesture
