The frontiers of the Queen of Kannywood as she is fondly referred to by many, became known when her picture and that of another popular Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe at a film location was spotted on her social media handle.
The picture of the duo shot for a film entitled: “Lagos Fake Life” is beginning to generate mixed reactions among her fans, especially in Kano State, while some are currently nursing fears that the multi-talented Hausa movie star would get corrupted by some un-Islamic norms allegedly rampant in Nollywood, just as others see it as a welcome development and a great achievement in the actress career.
R also learnt that a movie producer and director, Bala Anas, has also commended the actress on the development, saying, “It is an achievement for her and Kannywood as a whole, but what matters is the role she accepts. Any role that goes against Islamic ethical codes would be detrimental to her personality. I also want to advise her to be very careful not to do anything that will make her lose her Kanyywood fans.”
