Kalu hails Tinubu’s bold economic reforms on 73rd birthday

Published by

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Benjamin Kalu, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his 73rd birthday, commending his courageous decisions that have safeguarded Nigeria from economic collapse.

Hon. Kalu specifically highlighted President Tinubu’s removal of the fuel subsidy, describing it as a “whited sepulchre” that deceptively appeared economical on the surface but, in reality, was draining the country’s resources.

He emphasized that this bold move served as the crucial catalyst that jump-started Nigeria’s economy.

The Deputy Speaker noted that the President’s courageous decision has crystallized Nigeria’s economic prospects, paving the way for sustainable growth and development.

Hon. Kalu also praised President Tinubu’s efforts to advance the geopolitical zones in Nigeria through the establishment of regional development commissions. He believes that this initiative will address the infrastructure needs of the people while fostering economic prosperity and social cohesion.

While acknowledging the current hardships in the country, Kalu urged Nigerians to remain patient, assuring them that better days lie ahead as President Tinubu’s economic policies take effect.

He stressed that Tinubu’s administration could not have come at a more opportune time, highlighting the President’s diligent efforts to reposition the nation for greatness.

“President Tinubu’s leadership has been a game-changer for Nigeria. His commitment to economic reforms and development is unwavering, and we are confident that his policies will yield positive results in the long run,” he said.

Extending his best wishes, Kalu also prayed for many more years of good health for the President, saying, “We celebrate not just your birthday, Mr. President, but also your tireless efforts to build a better Nigeria for all.”
