Kalu commiserates with Ondo govt over Akeredolu’s demise

Former Governor of Abia State and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Privatization, Dr. Orji Kalu, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the Governor of Ondo State, Chief Rotimi Akeredolu, describing it as a significant loss to the nation.

Kalu emphasized that the late politician was bold, courageous, fearless, and selfless. He added that Akeredolu was an accomplished Nigerian well-known in both the legal profession and political circles.

The former Governor noted that Akeredolu made substantial contributions to nation-building through various platforms.

While urging the Akeredolu family to uphold the remarkable legacies of their late patriarch, Kalu acknowledged the outstanding leadership qualities of the late politician.

He stated, “On behalf of the people of Abia North Senatorial district, I extend my condolences to the government and people of Ondo State over the demise of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.

The late politician carved a niche for himself in the legal profession and politics, standing out in various endeavors.”

“The late politician played invaluable roles in the growth and sustenance of Nigeria’s democracy. He was indeed an accomplished Nigerian in all ramifications. The late legal luminary will undoubtedly be missed for his counsel on national issues and remembered for his worthy deeds,” Kalu continued.

Kalu concluded by offering his prayers for the eternal rest of the late Akeredolu.
