A modern pharmaceutical market will be built at sixty-nine (69) market area in Kaduna Metropolis.
This was contained in a statement issued to Tribune Online by the Kaduna State Urban Planning and Development Authority (KASUPDA) and signed by its Public Relations Executive (PRE), Nuhu Garba, on Thursday.
According to the statement, the construction of the new market in the area was in line with the State Government’s urban renewal, urban reformation and city beautification initiatives.
The statement stressed that the sixty-nine (69) market area was initially set to serve as a pharmaceutical market in the area.
However, the Authority expressed concerned that, the area has become underutilised with mix-activities of residential/commercial purposes which were contrary to the title given to the area.
Affected persons running their activities in the area who were issued with 21 days notice by KASUPDA were advised to comply with the directive, as noted in the release.
The statement further maintained that the provision of such market in the area was not meant to displease anybody, but for our development and future generation.
To this end, it’s said, while the Director-General, Ismail Umaru Dikko, pledged the Authority’s commitment to work for the well-being of people, he as well solicited for their co-operation and understanding of the residents.
