KADUNA State House of Assembly has distanced itself from alleged plot to impeach El-rufai , saying there was never a time when the house commenced any process to impeach the governor.
The position of the House was made known on Wednesday after the house deliberated on the matter. In a statement titled ‘Matter of importance from Kaduna House of Assembly ‘ and read on the floor of the House by the Chairman House Committee on Information, Mr Nuhu Goro Shadalafiya said,’The attention of house of assembly has been drown to a certain message been circulated in social media namely “WhatsApp”.
“The media that purportedly spread the message goes by the name of Universalreport.net. The message is to the effect that some members of the Kaduna state House of Assembly met over the weekend on the possible impeachment of Mallam Nasir El-rufai over what the law makers termed as “impeachable offences”, the message continued with a lot of fabricated lies.
“We all know that there was never a time, when house commenced any process of impeachment of the Governor.
“The position of the house therefore is that the story been circulated in the social media in its entirety is false, malicious, mischievous and fabricated lies with clear intent to cause disaffection between the House of Assembly and the Governor, in which we accordingly disassociate ourselves from it in all ramifications, and call on the good thinking citizens of Kaduna state to do the same.”
‘The allegation was a a mere speculation from rumor mongers to cause disaffection between the house of assembly and the governor, urging Kaduna state citizens to overlook the mischievous report from intruders.
However, the erroneous information spreading on social media such as whatapp and Facebook was said to have emanate from a website calleduniversalreport.net.

Also he stated the House equally warned perpetrators of such false report to desist from impersonating it members to avoid facing the law.
“The house further stressed that perpetrators of such act should discontinue from dishing out false information to the public; otherwise the hands of the law will certainly catch up with them.”
Thus, when the speaker of the House, Alh Aminu Shagali asked the lawmakers whether it was the decision of the house to agree with the sponsor of the motion in a unanimous decision, the lawmakers said yes.
