Following the release of the manifest of passengers on board the Abuja-Kaduna bound train, there have been rumours that the Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Rt Honourable Yusuf Ibrahim Zailani was a victim.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser Media and Publicity, Honourable Ibrahim Dahiru Danfulani on Wednesday said the speaker was not on the train.
The statement noted that although the manifest had a similar name to that of Kaduna State’s number three citizen, he was not on board.
“This is to dispel the rumours and clear the air that Kaduna State Speaker, Rt. Honourable Yusuf Ibrahim Zailani was not on board the train, the statement stressed.
“He is hale, hearty and safe. A name similar to his was on the manifest, but he was not the one,” it clarified further.
The statement thanked we’ll wishers, families, friends and colleagues who put calls through to find out the true position.
