Kaduna bombing: Islamic forum condemns killing of civilians by Army

A group under the auspices of Islamic forum has vehemently condemned the recent bombing at Tudun Biri in Kaduna, expressing their displeasure on President Bola Tinubu and governor of Kaduna Uba Sank, for not paying condolence visit to the families who loved ones to untimely death.

This group of Islamic sects who cut across membership of Tijaniyya, Qadiriya, Shiites and the Izala, have not only condemned in totality killings of hundreds innocent souls while on Maulud at Tudun Biri, Kaduna State, but also called for the prosecution of those behind the dastardly acts.

Making the condemnation while addressing a press conference on Wednesday, at the State headquarters of the Nigeria Union of Journalists( NUJ) Kano, Mallam Abubakar Rabo, said “Only open prosecution of those behind the killings as well as an independent investigation into the matter, would portray that Government shown concerned on the matter.”

He therefore disclosed that these Islamic sects group are under Tijaniyya, Qadiriyya, Izala, Shiites and the Independent Islamic Forum to them, they together reject the Federal Government position that the military killings of over 100 innocent Muslims during Maulud was a mistake, they said it was an intentional actions.

He said; “We called for an independent investigation into the matter, in the same vein, we are worried that the President cannot even visit the place.”

The group also urged Federal Government to quickly pay Islamically recognized life compensation for those they killed, because only doing so would show that they meant to protect human lives.

According to him, open apologies should be issued to those people of Tudun Biri, and this kind of deliberate action that has been carried out should not occurred, again”.

Sheikh Rabo said their position, remained that those that are behind the perpetuated action should face diligence punishment through their prosecution at the competent Court of law”.

” Our worry is that these kind of killings of innocent Muslims and other Northerners, has been happening differently in Borno, Zamfara and many other places, but this time around they would not take it lightly on the Tudun Biri Massacre,” he said.

He however added; “We will continue to offer prayers against those that are hellbent in creating chaos in the North, we will called on all our Jummaat Mosques to start serious against them”.
