A fire outbreak on Tuesday engulfed two petrol-laden tankers at an MRS filling station along Numan Road, opposite the Jezco filling station near Yola International Airport, Adamawa
State.
The incident caused significant disruption to vehicular movements as the road leading to Yola, the State capital, was blocked.
Residents rushed to the scene to witness the inferno, disregarding potential danger of two fuel tankers which had already been consumed by the fire as of press time.
Tribune Online learnt that fire service personnel arrived at the scene and began efforts to contain the flames, but their water supply appeared to be running low.
Security operatives were also deployed to secure the area.

Recall Tribune Online reports that at least 86 people lost their lives, and 55 others sustained injuries on January 18 while attempting to scoop fuel from a fallen tanker in Niger State.
Likewise, no fewer than 11 people died on January 25 when a petrol-laden tanker exploded along the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway.
The accident reportedly occurred after the tanker suffered a brake failure, tumbled, and spilled its contents, leading to an explosion.
Earlier that same month, five people died in Delta State when a tanker lost control and burst into flames in the Agbor area of the state.
