JUST IN: Sokoto govt declares Friday public holiday

Sokoto State Government has announced that Friday, the 12th of April 2024, will be a work-free day in the state.

This decision was conveyed in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Abubakar Bawa, and released to the public on Thursday evening.

The statement explained that the public holiday was declared to allow civil servants in the state to celebrate Eid-el-Fitr with their families.

“This is to enable civil servants in the State to continue to celebrate this year’s Eid-el-fitri with members of their family.

“Governor Ahmed Aliyu, wishes the entire people of Sokoto State a hitch-free Sallah celebrations”, the statement read.
