Further investigation shows that burning of refused had triggered the explosion
“The explosion is suspected to have been triggered by the burning of refuse and other inflammable debris by a farmer who cultivated the farmland.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the explosion may have been caused by the burning of refuse and other flammable materials by a farmer who was cultivating the land.”
Fortunately, no casualties were reported from the incident. However, given the recent clearance and certification of the Cantonment as free of unexploded ordnance, we understand there may be concerns among the public due to past incidents.
The NA wants to reassure everyone that the situation is under control. The NA Engineers Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team has secured the area and is conducting a thorough investigation into the cause of the explosion.
We urge residents in the vicinity not to panic and assure them of their safety.
