President Muhammadu Buhari has met with the new leadership of the National Assembly at the presidential villa, Abuja.
It was the first time the President would be meeting the principal officers of both chambers of the legislature together since their recent emergence.
Among those present at the meeting which started at 8.30pm were Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila; Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege; Senate Leader, Abdullahi Yahaya; Deputy Leader, Ajayi Borofice, Senate Chief Whip,
Orji Uzor Kalu and Deputy Chief Whip, Sabi Abdullahi.

Others were Senate Minority Whip,, Phillip Aduda; Deputy Minority Leader, Emmanuel Bwacha, House Minority Leader, Ndudi Elumelu; House Leader, Alhassan Ado-Doguwa and Deputy Minority Leader, Toby Okechukwu.
Also at the meeting were the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole and the Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly matters (Senate), Ita Enang.
