Jos building collapse: IA Foundation donates N250,000 to Saint Academy School

A Non-Governmental Organisation, IA Foundation has donated a sum of N250,000 to Saint Academy School over building collapse.

In a statement issued to Tribune Online yesterday, The Founder of the Foundation, Mrs Ibironke Adeagbo extended deepest sympathies to all and sundry affected by the collapse.

Ibironke described the incident as heart-wrenching, sharing their grief during this challenging time.

According to her, loss of young lives and the injury to many others is a tragedy that deeply touches everyone.

She, therefore, commended the bravery and resilience of those who worked tirelessly in assisting those in need.

This was just as the CEO expressed optimism that the school finds solace in the support of those around them, urging speedy recovery of the community in honour of the lost ones.

“In light of this tragic event, we stand ready
to offer any assistance within our capacity to aid in the recovery and support efforts of the affected students and their families. To this end, we are making a donation of N250,000 to assist in these efforts.

“On behalf of the IA Foundation, I wish to extend our deepest sympathies to you, your staff, the students, and the families affected by the tragic collapse of your school building in Jos.

“We are saddened by this heart-wrenching incident and share your grief during this challenging time.

“We hope that you find solace in the support of those around you and that, in time, the school community will recover and rebuild, honoring the memories of those we have lost.

“The loss of young lives and the injury to many others is a tragedy that touches us all deeply.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with you, the students, and their families as you navigate this unimaginable ordeal.

“We commend the bravery and resilience of everyone involved, especially the first responders and medical teams working tirelessly to assist those in need.

“IA Foundation is committed to supporting educational institutions and the welfare of children with a particular focus on out-of-school children,” she said.
