The accused, who resides at No. 2, Adewusi St., Ajara Dokoh area of Badagry, is facing a charge of stealing.
The jobless man, however, denied the charge.
But Police Prosecutor Akpan Ikem told the court that the accused jobless man committed the offence on June 21 at Ajun Plaza in Gbaji area of Badagry.
According to him, the accused stole the items from the shop of the complainant, Miss Gbemi Adoveh.

“The accused jobless man went to the shop in the plaza and as soon as he noticed that there was no one inside, he took three cartons of Spaghetti but he was unlucky as he was immediately apprehended by the shop owner.”
The offence contravened Section 285 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
The accused, according to the section, may be sentenced to three years in jail on conviction.
In his ruling, Magistrate Abiodun Etti granted the accused jobless man bail in the sum of N50,000 with a surety in like sum.
Further hearing has been adjourned until July 31.
