Jimoh Ibrahim distributes palliatives to Ondo residents

Senator representing Ondo Southern Senatorial District, Dr Jimoh Ibrahim, on Tuesday distributed bags of rice to the people of the district.

The bags of rice were part of palliatives provided by the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led government for the people to cushion the effects of the economic downturn during the Yuletide.

Senator Ibrahim had disclosed last December that the palliatives were yet to be procured and supplied by the contractors in charge.

He, therefore , disclosed that the bags of rice had just been delivered and decided to distribute them as carefully apportioned by a committee

The bags of rice were shared among different strata and organizations in the district at the University of Fortune, Igbotako.

The billionaire business mogul handed down N1 million to transport the palliatives to different locations in the district.

Among beneficiaries of the palliatives are traditional rulers, religious leaders, transport unions, including National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria(RTEAN) and others.

Present at the distribution centre are Muslim leader, Alhaji Yusuf Lateef Olajide, Christian leader, Pastor Gbelela, local government executives of All Progressives Congress(APC) representatives from all the 66 wards across Ondo South Senatorial District.
