The Jigawa state government has formed a committee tasked with receiving and verifying any complaints from civil servants regarding the recently concluded workers’ verification exercise in the state.
This information was conveyed in a statement issued and signed by the Public Relations Officer to the Office of the Head of Civil Service, Malam Ismaila Ibrahim Dutse, and made available to Online Tribune in Dutse.
According to the statement, the committee was established by the State Head of Civil Service, Alhaji Muhammad Dagaceri, to address any issues raised by individuals who were not verified during the exercise.
The statement stated further that the head of the service, “any worker with cogent reasons for not participating in the verification exercise and felt adversely affected is directed to contact the committee at the office of the Head of the Civil Service for verification”.

He explained that the verification of the State workforce was meant to inject sanity into the system and engender credibility in the State payrolls and not to create unnecessary suffering for the workers.
“Infact the exercise was not meant to downsize the workforce or witch-hunt any Civil Servants but to maintain an up-to-date payroll system” the HOS said.
It further stated that the present administration has no intention to disengage any worker but instead recruited more workers and made a significant move to covert J-Teach and J-Health workers into Permanent and Pensionable positions, in addition to filling other gaps in the Service.
