As preparations for Ali Baba’s January 1st Concert continue to gather momentum, stars billed to perform at the comedy and music concert have been told to get a tuxedo or evening dress or forget about performing at the event.
The event, in its third edition, has become a popular entertainment event organised by Ali Baba and is set to hold on the 1st of January 2017.
According to Ali Baba, “An A-class event is a premium event. That means it must have all the trappings of class. Every comedian knows that to perform on the stage of January 1 Concert, you must be wearing a tuxedo or evening dress. It’s non-negotiable. This is not about being Africans. You can not appear before wearing atibo or danshiki. So let me tell all the contestants who are performing at Spontaneity to find a tuxedo.”
Speaking with R on what people should expect at the event, Ali Baba said that the shows which filters into January 1 will give 10 people whose birthday falls on January 1 N100,000 each.
“Spontaneity filters into January 1st. As usual, we will be chronicling the highlights of the year, celebrating the New Year in a special way, We also wish to give 10 lucky people whose birthday is on January 1st N100,000 each. Last year, we celebrated the best pick among the male musicians. This year, we will select the best female voices. “
